AIB finished up 4c to €2.33, Bank of Ireland lost 2c to €1.30, Irish Life & Permanent moved up 8c to €1.23 while Anglo Irish Bank fell 7c to 92c.

In the construction sector CRH jumped 67c to €17.18, Kingspan shed 1c to €3.19, while Grafton also dipped 1c to €2.38.
