THE Irish Bank Officials Association (IBOA) is pressing ahead with claims for a 10% wage increase for its 15,000 members.

Employees at AIB, Bank of Ireland, National Irish Bank and Ulster Bank are all represented by the IBOA.

Irish banks, however, are looking for a pay freeze over the next nine months. The IBOA proposal is double the offer tabled by employers in the collapsed pay talks.
