Farm payments via credit unions

PAYMENTS from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food can now be made electronically to farmers through their credit union.

“We’re delighted to launch this new development for our busy farming members” said Kieron Brennan, chief executive Irish League of Credit Unions. Forms are available in credit unions or from the Department.

The ILCU said it appreciated the positive and progressive action taken by Minister Brendan Smith to facilitate payments in this way.
