THERE have been almost as many farm-related deaths so far this year as there had been in the whole of 2007.

Minister of State Billy Kelleher, speaking yesterday at the launch of the Health and Safety Authority’s annual report, said this demonstrates the great challenge that needs to be faced.

He urged everyone to lead the way in making the rest of 2008 a safer one for the farming community.
