THE Irish merger and acquisition market remained robust in the first quarter of this year with just over 50 deals involving Irish companies, according to analysts Corpfin.

Britain was the most popular location in terms of suitable acquisition targets, accounting for nearly half of the total 25 acquisitions by Irish firms. Ten international companies bought Irish assets, with the technology industry quite popular.
