Anglo Irish assists share dealings probe

ANGLO IRISH BANK, one of the country’s top financial institutions, confirmed yesterday it is co-operating fully with the Financial Regulators’ investigation into suspect share dealings in the group.

Last night, a bank spokeswoman said it was “working very closely” with the regulator following its announcement last Thursday that it was to carry out a detailed investigation into certain share transactions.

However, the regulator refused to confirm that it had been given details of certain suspect share dealings by the bank.
