Market again loses ground

THE Irish market fell sharply again yesterday, dropping 87.83 to close at 6,202.97 after another very taxing day for all the major stocks on the back of US indicators.

Among the banks, AIB plummeted 38c to 13.02, Bank of Ireland dropped 20c to 8.94, Anglo Irish shed 13c to finish at 9.18, while Irish Life & Permanent dipped 19c to finish the day at 10.31.
