Market records slow day

THE ISEQ index mirrored modest gains throughout the major European bourses yesterday.

The market added 12.89 to close at 6,543.56.

The financials had a mixed day ahead of AIB’s results today. AIB tacked on 5c to 13.45 while Bank of Ireland fell 5c to 9.45. In the second line Anglo Irish slipped 3c to 9.04 and Irish Life & Permanent strengthened on the day, up 27c to 10.82.
