Market drops after Moody’s report

The Irish exchange yesterday dropped 48 points to 6,489 as the rating agency Moody‘s annual report said the economy is subject to an unusually high degree of risk.

The financials closed in negative territory. AIB dropped 59c to €13.99. Bank of Ireland fell 11c to €9.48. Irish Life and Permanent and Anglo finished 20c and 18c lower at €10.10 and €9.45.

Construction giant CRH was 31c better off at €23.97. Grafton Group was unchanged at 5.44. Kingspan dipped 8c to €8.52.
