The exchange added 81.22 to 6,537.91.
It was a mixed day for the financials with AIB gaining 11c to close at €14.58 and Bank of Ireland tacking on 16c to €9.59. In the second line, Anglo Irish shed 11c to €9.64 while Irish Life & Permanent fell 15c to €10.30.
