Dublin market falls again

THE Dublin market fell again yesterday, losing 117.38 points to close at 6,456.69, as the European Central Bank held its main interest rate steady at 4%.

The Irish banks gave back yesterday's gains, enduring a poor day.

AIB lost 23c to rest at €14.47, Anglo-Irish shed 10c to €9.75, Bank of Ireland weakened 15.6c to €9.434 and Irish Life & Permanent moved downwards to rest at €10.45, a decrease of 25c.
