Market gains on Barroso comments
EU Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso was speaking in London yesterday and said Europe will next month lower its euro zone growth projections but that it is not facing a recession.
Bank of Ireland moved up 12c to €9.97 with over 5.7 million shares traded. Irish Life & Permanent surged 32.7c to €10.80. AIB fell back 17c to close at €15.10 and Anglo weakened 10c back to €9.35 .
