THE Dublin market closed in positive territory yesterday despite losses on many of its US and European counterparts.

The ISEQ index finished up 19 points at 6487.53.

On a mixed day for the financial stocks, AIB and Irish Life and Permanent gained ground, adding 21c and 30c to close the session at 14.90 and 10.20 respectively.
