Wind power cost analysis urged

THE National Offshore Wind Association of Ireland has urged the Government to carry out an immediate cost benefit analysis of exploiting offshore winds to generate electricity.

This follows yesterday’s announcement by the British government to develop a further 25 gigawatts of energy through offshore wind by 2020, almost enough electricity to supply every home in Britain.
