Heavy selling knocks another €1bn off market value

IRISH shares lost further value yesterday as investors continued to sell the Irish market.

Share values fell close to €1 billion with the major banks and some construction shares again losing out.

For the year the Irish market is now down close to €35bn with up to €20bn of that chalked up in the last month.
