Manufacturing output up 4.3%

MANUFACTURING output, excluding the volatile chemicals sector, has risen at an annual rate of 10% this year, according to data released yesterday by the Central Statistics Office.

On an annual basis, production for manufacturing industries for September 2007 was 4.3% higher than in September 2006.

“The seasonally adjusted volume of industrial production for manufacturing industries for the three month period July to September 2007 was 7.8% higher than the preceding three month period,” the CSO said.
