Decentralised tax office opens

MINISTER of State at the Department of Finance Noel Ahern yesterday opened the Revenue Commissioner’s decentralised office in Mill Lane, Listowel.

There are 44 staff in the offices. Business activities there will include tax collection and enforcement of all the major taxes and administration of some individual taxes such as professional services withholding tax, the environmental levy “plastic bag tax” and deposit interest retention tax.
