Customers check out organic week

CONSUMERS have been urged to mark national organic week by switching one or two items in their shopping basket to organic products.

Labour agriculture spokesperson Sean Sherlock, TD, said it would be a small but practical step and organic producers should be supported.

“The quality of the fresh fruit, vegetables and meat now available, is second to none,” he said.
