Merrion to launch fund division

MERRION Capital — the Dublin-based stockbroking and corporate finance firm in which Icelandic bank, Landsbanki is a majority shareholder — is understood to be gearing up to launch a fund management division.

Merrion already has on hedge fund in operation, with another due to be launched soon.

It is thought that the new division will consist of the two hedge funds and four other equity funds — with the operation up and running by the end of this year.
