Market again sheds value

THE ISEQ index lost further ground yesterday as investors’ fears of the extent of the credit market problems fall to dissipate. The Irish market closed 50.72 down at 8,376.07.

Market again sheds value

The financial sector was again the worst hit with AIB falling 17c to €18.55 and Anglo Irish losing 22c to close at €13.78. Irish Life & Permanent shed 6c to €17.94 while Bank of Ireland bucked the trend by adding 10c to €13.70.

Construction giant CRH slipped 6c to €31.23 while Grafton dipped 19c to €9.80. Kingspan closed 25c down at €17.05.
