CRH buys Carson for undisclosed sum

CRH has bought California-based Carson Industries to bolster its presence in the US.

Dublin-based CRH bought the company in the last few days, spokesman John Ward said in a telephone interview, without disclosing a price. Carson makes enclosures to protect utility equipment at three factories in the US and one in Roscommon.

CRH will provide more details in January when it gives an update on its acquisition strategy.
