Firm applies to FDA over HIV drug

TIBOTEC Pharmaceuticals has submitted a new drug application for TMC125, an investigational HIV treatment, to the US Food and Drug Administration.

The Little Island, Co Cork-based pharmaceutical developer said TMC125 received fast-track designation by the FDA.

Tibotec said the drug is being studied for use with other anti-retroviral agents as a treatment for HIV.
