Deadline for farm waste scheme

FARMERS and their consultants were yesterday reminded by Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Minister Mary Coughlan that the closing date for the lodgement of completed applications under the 2006 Farm Waste Management Scheme is June 29.

Where planning permission is required for the proposed works, written confirmation that it has been sought is required by that date. A copy of all drawings must also be submitted at that time. Ms Coughlan said work could not commence until written approval has been issued by her department.

A strict deadline of end December 2008 is in place for the completion of all work and the submission of payment claims.
