Dogma ‘must not replace science’

THE Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association warned yesterday it will not sit by and say nothing if dogma replaces science in the new Government’s attitude to Irish farmers.

President Jackie Cahill said all political parties receiving a mandate deserve respect, but it was a two-way street.

Commercial farmers would like to think that the “woollier” elements of Green Party misconceptions were not foisted on a sector already buckling under the enormous burden of national, local and EU regulation and diktat.
