Postgrad benefits outlined to students

THIRD-LEVEL students currently completing the final year of an honours business-related degree should consider progression to a postgraduate qualification, according to the Head of the Business School at Athlone Institute of Technology.

“The investment of an extra year’s study can add considerably to the graduate’s prospects,” said John Cusack. The most recent AIT graduate survey shows that holders of postgraduate qualifications are twice as likely as honours degree holders to earn starting salaries in excess of €26,000.
