Market moves back into the black

THE ISEQ Index mirrored European bourses to close in positive territory.

The Irish stock exchange gained 89.91 and closed on the day at 9,667.92.

Financials jumped 143 points. AIB added 1c to €22.40. Bank of Ireland moved 18c ahead to €16.50. Irish Life and Permanent was 63c stronger as it reiterated expectations of growth in pre-tax operating profits in its AGM yesterday. Anglo finished up 16c at €16.52.
