Northern Ireland sees growth slow

DESPITE strong growth in business activity and new order volumes, the rate of growth in the Northern Ireland economy slowed for the third consecutive month in April, according to the latest Ulster Bank Purchasing Managers Index (PMI).

According to Richard Ramsey, Northern Ireland economist with Ulster Bank: “The North’s private sector continues to strengthen with robust output growth recorded in April. While the rate of growth has fallen from the recent January high it remains above the long-term survey average.”
