Market recovers after morning slip

The ISEQ Index closed higher despite dipping during the day.

It finished up 72.75 points at 9,584.72.

The financials dragged the market down in morning trading only to recover in the afternoon. AIB lost 9c to €22.16, while rival Bank of Ireland climbed 45c to €16.40. Anglo Irish added 14c to €16.39 and Irish Life & Permanent jumped 60c to €19.90.
