THE ISEQ Index ended the week in the red following sharp falls among the banking stocks.

The Dublin exchange closed 130.62 weaker at 9,470.62.

In the financial sector AIB and Bank of Ireland were the main casualties falling 51c and 50c to €22.35 and €15.66. Anglo-Irish shed 14c to €16.45 while Irish Life & Permanent gave up 45c to €19.35.
