Market closes slightly weaker

THE ISEQ Index closed lower yesterday despite strong gains in C&C and Ryanair.

At the closing bell the Dublin exchange was 31 points weaker at 9,601.77.

Financial stocks were lower overall. AIB dropped 3c to €22.09 while rival Bank of Ireland was also weaker, falling 8c to €16.40. Anglo-Irish shed 12c to €16.25 while Irish Life & Permanent was down 24c to €20.96.
