Digicel launches in El Salvador

Digicel, the Caribbean-based mobile telecommunications operator which is fronted by Irish entrepreneur Denis O’Brien, has officially launched in El Salvador.

Digicel will reach communities that have been previously under-served by offering 95% population coverage. El Salvador has a population of 7 million people with mobile penetration at approximately 33%.
