Londis freshens up sales 4% to €1.8bn

IRISH-OWNED Londis Holdings, an operator of convenience stores in Britain, said 2006 sales rose 4% to £1.2bn (€1.78bn) as it broadened offerings of fresh produce and sandwiches.

Londis, which is owned by privately-held Cork-based retailer Musgrave Group Ltd, invested £8.5 million (€12.63m) to upgrade 171 stores and expand its offering to own-brand sandwiches and wraps.
