Market wallows in negative zone

THE market continued another day in negative territory in line with European bourses. The ISEQ dropped a further 127.55 to 9,408.68.

AIB fell 23c to €22.25. Bank of Ireland weakened 35c to €17.25. Irish Life and Permanent lost 18c to €21.42, despite announcing pre-tax earnings of €528m. Anglo was 1c stronger at €16.10.

Construction giant CRH fell 70c to €31.55. Kingspan declined 47c to €20.60. Grafton Group was 28c behind at €11.92. C&C was a key negative player as it fell dramatically €1.13 to €10.50.
