Market heads lower for second day

THE IRISH index continued its downward trend for a second day. The Dublin exchange was 33.77 points lower at 9,934.71.

All of the financial stocks closed in negative territory. Market heavyweight AIB declined 45c to €23.50. Bank of Ireland fell 16c to €18.49. Anglo was 10c lower at €16.50.

Construction giant CRH drifted back 26c to €33.45. Kingspan jumped 36c to €20.93.
