Waste collection scheme extended

CORK is to be included in the next phase of the farm waste silage plastic collection scheme, North Cork IFA county chairman John Coughlan has announced.

He said the county council had received written confirmation from the Department of the Environment to this effect.

Mr Coughlan said he was pleased Cork farmers would be given the opportunity to clear the backlog of plastic free of charge from their farms to designated sites.
