Equipment grantsfor youth clubs

MORE than €2 million in funding is to be allocated to provide small scale equipment grants for local youth clubs and groups.

The €2m has been apportioned across the 33 VEC areas based on youth population figures and almost 1,450 clubs and groups will benefit directly.

The grants are mainly to buy equipment. The maximum grant awarded to a club or group under this measure is €5,000.
