Ryanair boosts market performance

THE ISEQ gained ground yesterday on the back of a strong performance by Ryanair. The market closed 30.87 higher at 9,710.60.

AIB was up 2c to €23.12 while Bank of Ireland finished slightly lower at €17.85, down 5c. Anglo Irish crept 1c higher to €16.05 and Irish Life & Permanent added 23c to €21.88.

In construction, CRH lost 2c to finish at €32.01 while Kingspan jumped 12c to €20.50 after Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown council adopted new energy standards.
