Market in slight decline

The ISEQ index decreased 10.07 to end the session at 9,589.65. The financial sector as a whole experienced a minor downturn as the two main players, AIB and Bank of Ireland, shed 6c and 12c to €23 and €17.50.

Anglo-Irish followed suit losing 7c to €16.08. Irish Life and Permanent also added 10c to €21.60.

The construction sector also had a relatively mixed session with market mainstay CRH dropping 20c on the day to €31.55. Kingspan tacked on 1c to €20.34 and Grafton Group rose 23c to €12.66.
