Wall Street data hits market

THE ISEQ Index continued its recent downward trend helped by a negative shift in Wall Street and a sharp dip in financial stocks. The Dublin exchange fell 64.74 to 9,300.43.

AIB fell 25c to €22.10 and Bank of Ireland slipped 15c to €17.65. Anglo Irish lost 8c to €15.96 while Irish Life & Permanent weakened by 19c to €20.90.

Construction firm CRH shed 11c to €30.75. Kingspan and Grafton also lost ground, down 23c and 24c.
