Farmers urged to check on neighbours

FARMERS were urged yesterday to keep an eye on their elderly or isolated neighbours during the cold weather.

ICSA rural development chairman John Flynn said ice and snow made it difficult for people to go about daily business, and urged farmers to offer to check on their neighbour’s livestock, if necessary.
