Teagasc to reform sheep programme

TEAGASC has undertaken a major restructuring of its sheep research and advisory programmes.

It follows extensive consultation with its stakeholders and reflects the Malone Strategy Report on the industry.

Specific measures include the appointments of a head of sheep in the advisory service, three regionally-based sheep specialists and a dedicated sheep adviser in each management unit.
