A sluggish start to the week saw the Irish market in negative territory once again.

Market drops on weak trading

The ISEQ index shed 94.51 to 9,338.33.

The financial sector was 162.38 weaker. AIB was the main casualty falling 35c to €22.45. Bank of Ireland was 17c lower at €17.30 while Irish Life & Permanent gave up 25c to €21.15. Anglo-Irish was unchanged at €15.50.
