Market hits all-time high

A LIGHT day’s trading saw the ISEQ index add 80.33 as the market approaches the New Year at an all-time record 9,444.81 points.

Of the financials, AIB and Anglo-Irish added 11c and 37c to €22.86 and €15.82 respectively, Irish Life and Permanent gained 15c and Bank of Ireland rose 16c to €17.41.

In construction, CRH tacked on 50c to close at €31.55, while Kingspan made a 40c gain to finish at €20.10. Grafton fell 5c to €12.45.
