Cardiff to head banking division

FINANCE Minister Brian Cowen has announced the appointment of Kevin Cardiff as head of the department of finance’s banking, finance and pensions division, following an open recruitment process.

Kevin Cardiff entered the public service in 1984, joining the Department of the Public Service. His most recent senior roles have been in the tax policy and financial regulatory policy areas.

Mr Cardiff is a graduate of the University of Washington and of UCD.
