PWC: what deters overseas workers

THE availability of housing and schools, and being cut off from family and friends have been highlighted by employers as a disincentive to labour mobility across the EU.

The survey by Price- WaterhouseCoopers said these reasons were cited by almost one-third of Irish employers as discouraging potential overseas candidates from taking jobs in Ireland.

PWC carried out the survey in conjunction with the European Commission.
