THE AGM of the Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association at Limerick Racecourse next Thursday will include a special pre-election debate and question and answer session with agriculture spokespersons from the political parties.

Agriculture and Food Minister Mary Coughlan, Fine Gael’s Denis Naughten, Labour Senator Kathleen O’Meara, Sinn Féin’s Martin Ferris and speakers from the Progressive Democrats and Green Party are due to take part.

ICMSA president Jackie Cahill said he was confident a better political understanding of the requirements of farm families would result.
