THE ISEQ Index lost ground yesterday for the second day in a row, closing down 33.85 at 8,651.13.

On a mixed day for the banking sector AIB shed 13c to finish trading at €21.62 while Bank of Ireland also dipped slightly, down 14c to €15.90. Anglo Irish dipped 5c to €14.12 and Irish Life & Permanent gained 8c to €19.15.

Construction giant CRH fell 15c to €27.50 while Grafton shed 5c to €11.45. Kingspan rose 15c to €16.50.
