C&C losses slow market

THE ISEQ Index closed in negative territory as strong losses from C&C Group weighed heavily on the market. The exchange closed 6.19 down at 8,684.98.

C&C losses slow market

AIB dropped 6c to €21.75 despite its Polish subsidiary bank Zachodni WBK reporting a 56% rise in pretax profits to €216.1 million. Anglo Irish weakened 23c to €14.17. Bank of Ireland and Irish Life and Permanent were slightly better off at €15.98 and €19.07.

C&C was the main mover on the day, dramatically falling 52c to €11.85 on the back of cider consumption data.
