THE Dublin exchange lost ground yesterday following the example of European peers.

These losses came on the back of an announcement from the ECB that interest rates would remain unchanged, however indications are that rates will be raised in December. The ISEQ closed down 60.89 to 8,568.08.

AIB shipped 32c to €20.90, while Bank of Ireland and Irish Life & Permanent also dropped 14c and 13c to €15.56 and €19.21.
