British stocks decline

BRITISH stocks dropped for the first time in seven days yesterday. Rio Tinto Group, BHP Billiton and Xstrata led the slide as commodity prices retreated.

The FTSE 100 Index slid 63.8 to 6,108.60 in London, its biggest decline since September 22. The FTSE All-Share Index lost 1.1% to 3,124.38.
